Established in 1906, Thaxted Pharmacy is located next to the butcher's shop on the main high street.
Thaxted Pharmacy premises allow easy access for wheel chair users and prams and has a dedicated private consulting room and separate pharmacy counter for private consultations.

Thaxted Pharmacy sells a wide range of healthcare products and toiletries. A large number of the medications we sell are only available from a pharmacy and are located behind the main counter. We also stock a large range of toiletries and sundries that are not on display in the shop.
OPENING HOURS
The pharmacist is not present from 1-1.30pm, on a daily basis. However, Thaxted Pharmacy will be open during that time. Due to legal restrictions whilst the pharmacist is not present:

- No medication which is either stored behind the main counters or classified as a ‘GSL’ medicine from the shop can or will be sold.

To ensure you get the best results from your medication and that the medicine is suitable for you, the pharmacy staff may ask selected questions before selling or providing advise on products. All of our healthcare assistants are properly trained using accredited courses so they can advice you about treating common ailments.
